Toby Brookes is well into his second act.

Following forty years in advertising and marketing, he has opened a chapter that was only a dream for as long as he can remember. Majoring in Journalism and English, Toby received his BSJ degree from the Scripps School of Journalism in Ohio before starting his career in the world of PR and advertising. After years of plodding this arduous track, he was able to step away and focus on his true love of writing. In the past several years, after studying at Stanford and various workshops, he has launched into the universe two novels and is working on a third. The story of Matthew Banks, a frustrated ceramicist and inveterate loner, examines his journey to find peace and happiness. These three books will ultimately form a trilogy of realist fiction with compelling characters readers can’t help but cheer on.
